Tailored Therapy for Recovery
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY36038)
Life can often feel overwhelming when you are struggling with addiction, anxiety, or emotional pain. You may feel stuck in patterns you can’t break or unsure how to move forward despite wanting change. My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experience. Together we can create a space where you can slow down, explore your inner world, and begin to reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way.
My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to create the life you want.

I employ an integrative approach to help my clients explore and work through their inner turmoil, while also providing tools to develop self-esteem and autonomy. I pull from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theories to identify maladaptive inner and interpersonal patterns, as well as to identify unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate a shame cycle. During the intake process, we will identify the conflicts and barriers that are holding you back. We will work together to identify clear, reasonable, and attainable goals for therapy. Progress looks different for everyone, and I believe in cherishing small wins. Therapy can resemble a stock market graph at times; sometimes there are dips, but overall there is a steady incline. The goal is not to let the dips destroy your progress. Generally, I work with adult clients who are ready to take the necessary steps to change, as well as those who are willing to start processing challenging emotions.

I became a psychologist because I know what it is like to feel lost, disconnected, and unsure of how to change. My own experience with addiction and healing in my early life showed me the power of compassionate support and the possibility of becoming proud of who you are as a person. That experience continues to guide the way I work with my clients today, which is with warmth, authenticity, and deep respect for the courage it takes to seek help.
During my postdoctoral training and in my private practice, I have worked with individuals facing addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and the overwhelming emotions that make life heavy. During my experience at Tarzana Treatment Centers, I supported adults working through substance use disorders, trauma, psychosis, and mood disorders. I also received training at Airport Marina Counseling Services, where I strengthened my psychodynamic approach and learned the importance of slowing down to help clients discover their authentic selves.
Today, in addition to my clinical practice, I teach advanced psychodynamic therapy as an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Sometimes life can become meaningless and empty when we reach for superficial objects to fill a void.
I work with clients to explore their own spirituality and values. Spirituality is distinct from religion, as it can be individualized, allowing us to connect with something beyond ourselves and discover our unique purpose.

“Dying is easy, comedy is hard”- Edmund Kean
This quote also relates to therapy. Therapy can be challenging; it requires insight, the ability to experience complex emotions, and honesty with oneself. Additionally, I believe in the power of humor, and I bring that perspective to my practice.
